I have added the Mapit gadget to my dashboard, but I can't see any issues my issue in it.

Solution

In order for issues to show in the Mapit gadget, they need to contain location information (latitude and longitude position). In addition, they need to be included in a favorite filter.

Please check the following:
  1. Open a JIRA issue that you expected to see in Mapit. Does the screen contain fields to enter location information (latitude and longitude)?
If not, please contact your JIRA administrator.

  2. Does the latitude and longitude fields contain data, and is that data in the correct format?

  3. Is the issue part of included in the search/filter result for of one of your favorite filters?
If not, please create a new favorite filter, or edit the criteria of an existing favorite filter, so that the issue is included in the search result.

  4. Have you selected the correct filter in the Mapit drop-down filter selector?
Issues are only loaded in the map when you actively select the desired favorite filter from the Mapit filter selector.

  5. Are your issues in the geographical area shown in the map?
If you have selected to display issues from filter A, but none of the Mapit drop-down.issues are in the geographical area currently shown by Mapit, you will not see them. Try to zoom out until you see a cluster of issues (circle with a number in it), and then click on that cluster to zoom back in in that particular area.

  6. Did you refresh the page (dashboard) after creating the issue?
If you just created an issue, it won't show in the map until you've refreshed the page.
